Hello! I’m Orpheus. I lived in a housing complex and they had me as a guard. It wasn’t a great job but I made a living. The basics, that is, so that I wouldn’t be calm and bark at strangers. You know. A dog that’s full of food and cuddles doesn’t bark. It should be hungry a little, learn to consider people unfriendly and stuff. I did my job well but they decided that they didn’t want a dog like that after all and they called some people and took me and took me to another place they called a shelter. So they accused me of being good at my job? The human soul is an abyss! Okay, I adapted, don’t you think, I don’t have a reason. I had food and a small place to live. The strange thing is that they called me aggressive. That’s what confuses me. But that’s not what they wanted from me? And now they’re taking me away for that? I don’t understand!

The only good thing is Sundays! Not every Sunday, but some Sundays when we come and go for a walk together, people and dogs. I don’t know if I told you, in this place, the shelter, there are other dogs. I usually accompany specific people, while the other dogs accompany different people each time. But I have no complaints because the people who choose me are good people. I am very serious but they give me treats and I go crazy for treats! It is my weakness because never in my life had they given me something so delicious! Even tastier than a souvlaki bucket! It takes a while but it is the tastiest there is! So I am very obedient, I sit and they give me! When they are late I go and smell their pockets because that is where they put them. Don’t think, they are not very smart, they take a while to understand that I want more and they don’t give me right away! But I am persistent because you have never tasted such a taste before in your life!

Last time, a new human came. She smelled like a dog and a cat. I didn’t rush to a conclusion, but she didn’t seem bad either. She lacked experience, though, and the cat smell was stronger than the dog’s. Fortunately, she was serious, and didn’t make any moves for petting or hugging. As I told you, I’m serious, I don’t like politeness! But she was probably informed before I came to accompany her, so we didn’t have an incident! She was doing well, I convinced her to give me treats and she quickly got the point! At first, she was a bit tight and I thought I had fallen for Scrooge. It was time to have ducks in the company! Ha ha! You see, I’m serious, but I make the humanes happy! So we started our walk after I laid out the humanes first, me last as always. As we were walking, however, I stepped on a thorn. I didn’t chew it, but I said I’ll lick it and pull it out myself, just like other times. I’ve learned to be independent and deal with problems on my own. Stray life, you know, doesn’t leave you much room. Unfortunately, this time things weren’t that simple. No matter how hard I tried, the thorn wouldn’t come out! The humane girl next door went to help, but fortunately the others who knew me warned her, I don’t want help, I’ll solve my problems on my own. We said that. We found a concrete place and I stopped there. The walk was over for me. I couldn’t continue on the bushes, it would get worse. I’m so tired of what you’re saying and the humane girl calls out to my experienced companion! I told you from the start, she wasn’t experienced, I can smell something like that! He gives me what you say and we change companions with Pippi. Another one! The other end of me! Maybe at some point I’ll talk to you about him too.

The experienced one comes when you say it! Ha ha, these people amuse me a lot even in my pain! He tried to distract me with treats and look at my leg. If I wasn’t in pain I would have burst out laughing, and I told you I’m serious! Don’t tell me too much, they take their boss and tell them to take me back to the shelter! Good again! Wise move! Luckily there are bosses and their world moves properly. So this walk was shorter for me. I hope they learned their lesson and only give me experienced humans to accompany! Ideally, as you can see, it would be wise to find an experienced and serious human to adopt and always accompany him so that I don’t have to explain everything from the beginning every time. If he has treats, you know I will do everything for him!
